Your rental business lives in your data: who rented what, when, for how much, and how often they come back. Every platform stores it, but not every platform lets you take it with you. We think the rule should be simple — if it’s your business, the data is yours. That’s why Turborent has a full data export: one click, and you get everything, in an open format.

Why export matters

No matter how convenient the software is, sooner or later you’ll want your data in your hands:

• Backup. A copy of all records on your disk (or in a corporate storage) is the cheapest insurance in the world;
• Migration. If you ever decide to switch to another system, you can move history, customers and equipment — not start from zero;
• Analysis. Your accountant or a specialist works in Excel, not in a dashboard — give them the source data;
• Audit. A full snapshot of operations is useful when you hand the business over, involve a partner, or prepare reports.

Export is the feature you notice only when you need it — and at that moment it should already work. In Turborent it does.

What’s in the ZIP

The export collects 24 tables into a single archive: one CSV file per table, with all records for your organization.

• orders and order items;
• customers and their rental history;
• equipment and categories;
• locations and staff;
• payments and refunds;
• expenses, shifts and loyalty transactions;
• reviews, surveys and customer communications.

CSV opens in any spreadsheet software and is easy to read by scripts, accountants and analysts alike. Nothing is summarized or rounded: you get the source records as they are.

How it works

The export takes two clicks in the app: Settings → Data export → the Export button.

• One click, one file. The archive is generated on demand and downloaded to you;
• Only the owner. Export is available to the organization owner — nobody else can pull a copy of your data;
• Once every 24 hours. A limit that protects the server and doesn’t get in the way of regular backups;
• Deleted after the download. The file lives on the server only for the duration of the download, then it’s removed. No copies are left behind “just in case”;
• Open format. CSV is not a vendor lock — you can use this data anywhere, from Google Sheets to a custom analysis script.

What is NOT in the export

Equally important is what you won’t find in the archive: passwords, API tokens and other secrets. The export contains your business data — not credentials that could compromise your accounts. Security doesn’t go out with the CSV.

The bottom line

A rental platform holds a serious responsibility: years of your business history. We want that responsibility to be transparent. Export everything, keep a backup, switch systems if you ever want to — the data is yours, and the door is never locked.
